7 Pottery Painting Ideas to be Creative this Summer

July 6, 2018

Summer is in full swing, and now it's time to think about different ways to beat the heat. It is a happy time when the colors seem brighter; people are happy spending time together and really making an effort at quality time together; and we realize we are just a few months away from the cheery holiday season! So, I thought I would share with you some ways to be creative this summer by taking a break away from the sun and painting some beautiful pieces that you can either decide to keep for yourself or give to someone special as a gift for the holiday season!

1. Something Floral

A floral piece using a watercolor technique is sure to brighten up your summer rainy days and all year round. This look really reminds of country chic style. So if you are someone who loves classy, simple, elegant, pastel looks, this one is for you! Consult one of our assistance to achieve this wonderful look and make it your own. We also offer this as a workshop. Check out our calendar of events

2.  Bubbles, bubbles, bubbles

Who doesn't love to play with bubbles during the summer? This is the perfect technique to be creative this summer with the kids. Need to step away from the summer heat for a couple of ours, but still have summer fun? We can help you with our Bubbles pottery painting technique. Choose your favorite colors, go simple or bold. There is no wrong way! We offer this as a workshop event, as well.

3. Herringbone Pattern

I love, love the herringbone pattern. Although, it may look difficult it is actually super easy once you have the initial prep-work done. What I like the most about this pattern is that you can really lose yourself in it and forget about the outside world for a couple of hours. In return, you get a super classy piece of pottery sure to be talked about by many friends and family.

4. Marble Fun

I love Marble pottery technique. It's super easy fun, messy and cool to create whether you choose to use the shaving cream or pouring technique. This is a must try at our studio. As for assistance from one of our studio assistants.
